I love massage and bodywork. From my first massage that I received, through my long coursework of study 15 years later in 2021, I am humbled and intrigued by the power of massage and its ability to transform a person. I am honoured to have been given the gift of healing. Whether it is for relieving pain or just giving a person the time and space to relax and reflect, massage has more uses then most people realize.
With a degree in Psychology I understand the mind’s influence on the body, I really saw this connection and what that means when I went to massage school. I graduated from Myotherapy College of Utah in 2006 and launched myself fully into this career. What I did not realize then was that this is not just a career, but a way of life. I have continued my studies every year and hold a national certification because of this.
I believe that the body needs to realign itself from time to time to fit new experiences and perceptions. Whether that is a brief time out from day to day stress, recovery from an injury or illness, or even coaxing the body through transitions such as pregnancy; I have found that massage therapy has a modality to help.
It is my job to learn as many modalities as I can so I may offer a variety of tools to help the body heal and feel healthy. I have advanced certifications in Prenatal, Perinatal, and Postnatal Massage as well as Segmental Bodywork for Injury and Recovery. I am as passionate about Swedish techniques for relaxation as I am about Trigger point for pain. I can help athletes with Sports Massage as well as Shiatsu for comprehensive health. Reflexology and Cranial techniques help the body while focusing on a small area and yet they are as powerful as a full body treatment. Reiki, Chakra, and Parasitic Entity Cleanse are used when needed, and these are just a few of the treatments that I offer in a session.
